I reckon some signs and messages can be 'effective' subliminally. Or maybe our notions of 'meaning' are a little too narrow? I know I've always wanted such things to smack me between the eyes and be obvious. But I've learned (at least!} that the most powerful stuff of this kind is usually emergent. It sneaks up on you like sunrise, while you're not watching (or at least too sleepy to notice! ). Then, suddenly, you turn around and there it is.

A penny for your thoughts! Or a dime, maybe?

In reply to <a href="https://jillmorrow.net/finding-dimes/#comment-170919">Kristina Riggle</a>.

Kristina, many people agree with your mom. I suppose that anything that turns up again and again (often in unexpected places) can grab our attention enough to create space for thought in our busy minds. I'm a fan -- I NEED those reminders!
