In reply to Eliza Graha. I'd had no idea how much of a difference it makes and how much more I enjoy the writing process when it feels "hand-crafted." I know it isn't everyone's approach and nor does it need to be. But I'm glad you're finding a happy rhythm with the hands-on method, too!

I so agree about internet noise! At the moment I’m rearranging novel scenes on an enormous sheet of paper and the tactile nature of this work is really good for me.

Hi Jill,
Thanks so much for your insightful post this morning. I know exactly what you mean and how you feel. I often wish that social media had not become the main staple of which to sell books and connect with readers. Most days, I thoroughly enjoy it and love reading what people are talking about and other days, I just want to retreat out into nature, alone with my thoughts.
